Monday Social Media Posts

Hello everyone this is a 6 part series! The 5 days of the work week and the weekend!

I’m going to share my social media schedule for each day hopefully to give you ideas when you’re stuck!

Today’s is Monday!

Now that it’s Monday evening I do actually have some of the posts I wrote today to show you as examples!

Monday’s Theme: Motivation, Start Of The Work Week

Instagram: Motivational Quote (bonus if it’s on your own product or sharing another seller’s product e.g. print) Write a couple sentences to your followers about your plans for the week and ask about theirs.

Facebook: Greet followers, be relatable to your target market (are they going to school, work, running a business etc). Notify of anything new over weekend.

Twitter: Quote about monday mornings. Either your own quote or retweet from someone else ‪#‎Mondays‬ ‪#‎MondayMorning‬ ‪#‎SmallBusiness (I used one from a blogger on Pinterest)

Instagram: Behind the scenes, orders or new listings being made.

Etsy Shop Update: Creation process of a particular product that has been ordered with the product tagged.

Pinterest: Pin shop update to “shop update” board (I ended up posting this one to my “mermaid life” board instead as it made more sense)

Twitter: Tweet shop update also.

Instagram: Product share, old or new, seasonal or on trend.

13383638_10153881052319635_2052596516_o.png.jpgFacebook: Facebook advert. I will be boosting a post for £1 a day for the rest of the week with my summer style jewellery. I will be uploading a collection of 4-10 photos and using BOOST POST to a 5 year age gap, two countries I sell to most, two interests my target market have (I use celebrity figures or high street shops as mine are teens). (I chose to use two weeks in the end)

Etsy Shop Update: Use one of the close ups I’ve taken of a product rather than it’s thumbnail.

Pinterest: Pin this shop update to it’s relevant board. E.g. If it’s one of my mermaid products it will be posted to the “Mermaid Life” board I’ve curated.

Twitter: A collage of the products I’m using for the facebook advert with hashtags such as ‪#‎summer‬ ‪#‎fashion‬ ‪#‎beach‬

Quick Instagram post about what I’ve achieved that day, maybe another quote about sleep or happiness.

EXTRA IF I HAVE TIME (or feel like it):
–Take photos throughout the day of anything I think my followers might be interested in. New supplies arriving, something glinting in the sun, products I’m making, products that go together etc. It’s great to have backup images for future posts.
— I use my pinterest/instagram/twitter account purely for business (I have personal accounts seperately) so if I have time I follow 100 relevant people on each platform to encourage them to follow me back. (to see more about “relevant people” please see the “Growing Your Instagram Account” blog post in the pinned post)
— I go through my Instagram feed and look for silly memes, quotes, relatable content and “like” them. I can then in future use the “repost” app and share (and credit) the original poster. Because I’m following my target market, their humour, quotes and interests are relatable to my other followers and generate attention.
— I go on the “popular” Pinterest category and look for pins that are doing really well (1k+ pins) and if they fit in with any of my boards I’ll pin those. It makes my pinterest more appealing to new followers.

If you would like to follow me on any of my social media platforms to have a nose at these updates as they happen they are here:…

As usual, if you have any more questions or I can help please comment below or join my Help With Etsy Facebook Group to come and talk to me and the members!

Thanks for reading!
